I wrote and recorded this last night.
My sleeping has been interrupted by bouts of creativity. I'm wrestling with space - too much space, too little space. I need to settle on a balance.
Presence versus absence. Addition versus subtraction. Fractions of musical color. Spinning wheels to the left, to the right. Balance!
I am in the process of writing exercise music. I am giving myself the room to create longer songs. The only thing that is sacred is tempo - I respect the clock. I am a human being subject to emotion and excitement; I cannot be trusted with keeping time accurately.
I want to make music that captures how exciting it is to be alive. It was a one in a hundred billion chance, but here we are!
